In Martinau, a district of Elmen lies one of the largest yellow women's slipper areas in Europe. Other larger deposits can still be found in Europe in the Gastern Valley in Switzerland. The lady's slipper is a rare plant and is strictly protected. Every year between mid-May and mid-June, a field full of lady's slipper plants blooms. The yellow lady's slipper area is hidden in the alluvial forest and can be reached on foot in a few minutes. There is a parking place with enough places available. The trail starts at the Martinauer Bridge at the parking lot, then up into the alluvial forest.
