The Anhalter Hütte is an alpine club hut of the German Alpine Club. The refuge is located at 2042 m about 6 km south of Namlos in the Lechtal Alps below the Heiterwand. The Anhalter Hütte has a few small multi-bed rooms and about 75 camp places. The Anhalter Hütte was renovated from 2019 to 2021 and has been open again since 01 August 2021. Despite the extensive renovations, the original character of the hut has been preserved. The Anhalter Hütte now has new bright and high bedrooms and new sanitary facilities. In addition, the energy supply has been switched to an innovative combination of a rapeseed oil-powered combined heat and power plant and a photovoltaic system. Near the hut are some worthwhile peaks such as the Tschachaun or the 2553 m high Namloser Wetterspitze. The well-known Anhalter Höhenweg to the Stablalm starts at the Anhalter Hütte. The well-known Heiterwand with its numerous climbing routes is not far away. The Heiterwand is about 8 km long and stretches in an east-west direction. The easiest way to reach the refuge is from Hahntennjoch via Steinjöchl. From Hahntennjoch, a well-marked path leads steeply uphill in a northerly direction to Steinjöchl. At the Steinjöchl at 2189 m the path goes downhill again. The last stretch is then quite flat across to the hut. Due to the high altitude of the Hahntennjoch (1894 m), the walking time is only about one and a half hours. Further ascent possibilities to the alpine club hut start in Namlos or Bschlabs. The neighboring huts of the Anhalter Hütte are the Hanauer Hütte (about 3.5 hours), the Muttekopfhütte (about 4.5 hours), the Heiterwandhütte (about 5 hours) and the Reuttener Hütte (about 6 hours). The Anhalter Hütte is normally open from mid-June to the end of September.
