Ansbacher Hut
The Ansbacher Hut is an alpine club hut in the Lechtal Alps mountain range. The hut is located below the Samspitze peak at 2624 m. Ansbacher hut can be reached from the Lechtal valley via alpine village Madau. From Bach the path leads rather flat into the Madautal valley. Shortly before Madau the path branches off into the Alperschon valley. From the rear Alperschonalm a narrow path replaces the gravel road. The trail starts to get steeper and continues inwards to Knappenboden alpine pasture. Here the path branches off and leads over the Flarschjoch mountain pass between Samspitze peak and Stierköpfl mountain to the Ansbacher Hut. The walking time from Bach is 5 to 6 hours. Further opportunities for ascent begin in the Stanzertal valley to the south. The neighboring huts are the Kaiserjochhaus hut, the Memminger Hut and the Simms-Hut. Some of the highest peaks of the Lechtal Alps, such as the Feuerspitze peak, the Freispitze peak or the Vorderseespitze peak, are located in the immediate vicinity of the Alpine Club hut. The hut is located on the E4 and the Adlerweg alpine trail, which leads from St. Anton to St. Johann in Tyrol. The Ansbacher Hut is also the starting and finishing point for the demanding Augsburger Höhenweg alpine trail. Ansbach Hut is open from the beginning of July to the end of September.
