Auenfelder Hut
The Auenfelder Hut lies at 1762 m in the Lechquellen Mountains below the Saloberkopf mountain. The mountain hut is open in summer and winter. There is also a limited number of beds available. The Auenfelder Hut is surrounded by a breathtaking mountain landscape. Many rare animal and plant species are native to the area. The mountain hut can best be reached from the Hochtannbergpass mountain pass via the Saloberkopf mountain. A hike along this route takes about an hour. The starting point can be easily reached by car or bus. (Bus stop: Hochtannbergpass Saloberlifte) Further ascent possibilities start in Warth or Lech am Arlberg. There is also the possibility to go up the mountain with the rope way Steffisalpbahn and hike over the Saloberkopf to the Auenfelder Hut. From Lech am Arlberg you can take the cable car to Oberlech and via the Gaisbühelalpe and the Untere Auenfeldalpe to the Auenfelder Hut. The lift ride with the Steffisalpbahn or Oberlechbahn is free of charge during the summer months with the Lechtal Active Card.
