Edelweisshaus
The Edelweisshaus is an alpine club hut in the Lechtal Alps at an elevation of 1530 m. It is located in the mountain village Kaisers and can be reached by car or by hiking bus. The Category II hut is operated by the Stuttgart section of the German Alpine Association and is open all year round. Edelweiss Haus offers 19 beds in shared rooms and 10 places in the mattress dormitory. Accommodation in the Edelweisshaus costs €19 for Alpine club members in the shared room and €25 for non alpine club members. A place in the mattress camp costs €11 or €17 per night. The Edelweißhaus can be reached on foot from Steeg via Kaiserer Landesstraße road in one hour. During summer season a hiking bus runs several times a day between Steeg and Kaisers, the Alpine Club cabins in the area are the Frederic-Simms-Hut, the Stuttgarter Hut and Leutkircher Hut in the southwest and the Kaiserjochhaus in the south. Worthwhile peaks in the area are the Hahnleskopf mountain, the Rottschrofenspitze peak, the Pimig mountain, the Stanskogel peak or the Holzgauer Wetterspitze peak.
