Grießbachalm
The Grießbachalm lies at about 1500 m in a very beautiful and natural side valley of the Tyrolean Lechtal. The zur Alm is known for its rustic atmosphere and excellent alpine food. Since summer 2011 there is the possibility to visit a mine near the mountain pasture. The hike to the Grießbachalm starts in the Häselgehrer district of Grießau. There is free parking right at the beginning of the trail. The starting point of the hike is only a few meters away from the bus stop Grießau or Hauptstraße. The hike leads on a well signposted quite wide gravel path with a constant gradient to the alp. The trail runs first through the forest and then later over some pastures, past steep gorges. Alternatively, you can start the hike to the Grießbachalm in Grünau near the Nikolausbrücke. The Grießbachalm is also an excellent destination for mountain bikers. An average hiker needs about 1.5 hours for the 5 km long route. There is also the possibility to use a transport to the mountain hut. The Grießbachalm is closed in winter and cannot be reached via the path. Further information can be found on the homepage of the Grießbachalm. (www.griessbachalm.at)
