Landsberger Hut
The Landsberger Hut is located at 1810 m in the Allgäu Alps near the Tannheimer Tal valley, which lies north of the Lechtal valley. The refuge of category I is operated by the section Landsberg am Lech of the German Alpine Association. Landsberger Hut can be reached the easiest and fastest from the Tannheimer Tal valley via lake Vilsalpsee, whereby the distance to the Vilsalpsee is covered by car. This ascent takes about 2 hours. Please note, that there are parking fees of €6,50 at the Vilsalpsee and the access by car during the day from 10:00 to 17:00 is not possible. Another interesting ascent route starts in Tannheim at the Neunerköpfl car park. From there you can take the Neunerköpfl chairlift up to 1900 m. Along a high trail you hike up to Sulzlspitze peak and on to Schochenspitze peak and then in almost 3 hours to Landsberger Hut. With 4 to 4.5 hours you can also reach the Alpine Club hut from Haldensee or via the Birkental valley. The Landsberger Hut has 80 places in the mattress dormitory, 30 places in the emergency camp and 30 beds in multi-bed rooms. Outside regular opening hours, a winter room with 14 seats is also available. (alpine club key required) The prices for the overnight stay in the room camp are currently €26 and €14 in the room camp for members of the Alpine Club. Landsberg hut is normally open from the beginning of June to mid-October.
