Lechaschauer Alm
The Lechaschauer Alm lies at 1670 m in the Tannheimer mountains. The alp is located about five kilometers west of Lechaschau and offers an excellent view of the Reutte basin. Easiest way to reach the Lechaschauer Alm is with the ropeway Reuttener Bergbahn and a 45-minute hike along the Alpenrosenweg hiking trail or the Alpenblumengarten. Alternatively, the Lechaschauer Alm can be reached on foot in about 2 hours from the Reuttener Bergbahn valley station. This variant leads over the so-called Holzer Bergweg road to the hut. The starting point at the valley station of the Reuttener Bergbahnen is 10 minutes from Reutte and 30 minutes from Elbigenalp in Lechtal valley. The use of the Hahnenkamm cable car can be used with the Lechtal-Aktiv-Card at a reduced rate of €3. Lechaschauer Alm is hosted and is known for its regional alpine pasture delicacies and the cosy sun terrace. There is also a playground for the younger visitors. There is the possibility to stay overnight on the Lechaschauer Alm hut. For this purpose, 25 beds are available in some shared rooms. Schneetalalm hut, the Gehrenalpe hut and the Höfener Alm hut at the top station of the Reuttener Bergbahn are popular huts and mountain pastures in the vicinity of the Lechaschauer Alm. Lechaschauer Alm is open from mid-May to the end of October. No day off!
