Leutkircher Hut
The Leutkircher Hut is an alpine club hut at 2251 m in the Lechtal Alps mountain range. The hut is located on the Almajurjoch mountian pass about 6 km south of Kaisers. It is situated on the popular Adlerweg and Lechtaler Höhenweg hiking trails. Leutkircher Hut lies below the 2757 m high Stanskogel mountain. The Leutkircher Hut offers 42 mattress dormitory places and 8 bed places in shared rooms. In the winter room 10 persons can sleep. Please note that alpine club key is required in the off-season. The neighboring huts of the Leutkircher Hut are the Kaiserjochhaus hut in the east and the Stuttgarter Hut and the Ulmer Hut in the west. The walking time to the Kaiserjochhaus hut is 1.5 to 2 hours. A worthwhile summit in the surroundings is the Stanskogel mountain. The easiest way to reach the summit is from the Leutkircher Hut via the Hirschpleißkopf mountain. Stepping safety, no fear of heights and mountaineering skills are prerequisites for this summit. The ascent to the Leutkircher Hut from the Lechtal valley starts in Kaisers alpine village. From there it goes on a gravel road through the Almajur valley to the Bodenalm hut. At the Bodenalm hut the path branches off to the left just before the alp and becomes increasingly steeper. The hike takes about 3 to 4 hours . The Leutkircher Hut is open from the end of June to the end of September.
