The Memminger Hut is an alpine hut in the Lechtal Alps mountain range and it is located at an elevation of 2242 m. The Alpine Club hut is situated at the E5 long-distance hiking trail and offers small multi-bed rooms and large mattress dormitories for overnight stays. It was renovated a few years ago or a new part of the building was added. The hut can be reached from Bach village via the “Memminger Hütte Parkplatz” near Madau alpine village. “Memminger Hütte Parkplatz” means a parking space at about 1440 m and half an hour valley inwards from Madau. During the summer months there is a taxi service between Holzgau and the “Memminger Hütte Parkplatz”. The track is closed to normal motorized traffic. The walk from Bach takes about five to six hours. There is a backpack transport with the material cableway available for a fee. The valley station of the cable car is at the “Memminger Hütte Parkplatz” in the Madautal valley. Neighboring huts of the Memminger Hut are the Augsburger Hut in the south, the Ansbacher Hut in the southwest and the Württemberger Haus hut in the east. The Memminger Hut is open from mid-June to the end of September. The alpine hut is also located on the famous Adlerweg mountain trail from St. Anton to St. Johann in Tyrol. Just above the Alpine Club hut are three smaller mountain lakes. (unterer Seewisee lake, mittlerer Seewisee lake und oberer Seewisee lake).
