Reuttener Hut
The Reuttener Hütte is located at 1740 metres in the front Lechtal Alps near Rinnen and Berwang. The hut of the Reutte section of the Alpine Club is characterised by its extremely beautiful location in the immediate vicinity of Alpe Raaz with its extensive alpine meadows. The Reuttener Hütte is only connected to the other huts in the Lechtal Alps via detours. The nearest neighbouring hut is the Anhalter Hütte, which can be reached via the mountain village of Namlos in around six hours. The Reuttener Hütte is run as a self-catering hut, is open all year round (AV key required!) and has 28 mattress dormitory places. Overnight accommodation costs €14 for Alpine Club members and €26 for non-members. Children and young people pay €7 and €14 respectively. The Reuttener Hütte can be reached from several directions. The shortest ascent leads via Rinnen to the hut in around two hours (bus to Rinnen). Other options lead from Weißenbach or Rieden via the Rotlechtal valley to the Alpenvereinshütte (approx. 4 hours). The Reuttener Hütte is an excellent base for mountain tours in the surrounding area. The most famous peak in the area is the 2112 m high Galtjoch. The ascent from the hut takes about one and a half hours. Other popular peaks are the 2004 m high Rainberg and the 1964 m high Abendspitze. All three are easy to reach. The Reuttener Höhenweg trail to the 2378 m high Knittelkarspitze is a little more challenging - provided you are sure-footed and have a head for heights. The area around the Reuttener Hütte is very popular both in summer as a hiking area and in winter as a ski touring area.
