From Gramais it takes 4 to 5 hours towards Lake Kogelsee and then via the southern Bockkarscharte mountain pass and the Kogelseescharte mountain pass to Steinsee-Hut. The neighboring hut to the north of the Steinsee-Hut is the Hanauer Hut, which can be reached via the front Dremelscharte mountain pass and rear Dremelscharte mountain pass. The Württemberger Haus hut can be reached via Gebäudjöchl in 3 to 4 hours. Near the Steinsee-Hut there are several interesting climbing possibilities.
