Stuttgarter Hut
The Stuttgarter Hut is an alpine club hut in the Valluga group of the Lechtal Alps. The hut is located at 2310 m about 10 km southwest of Steeg on the border to Vorarlberg. Stuttgarter Hut is situated on the famous Adlerweg and Lechtaler Höhenweg. The Hut has large mattress dormitories as well as smaller multi-bed rooms and an emergency winter camp. Numerous impressive peaks such as the Valluga mountain or the Roggspitze peak are located in the immediate vicinity of the Stuttgarter Hut. There are several ways up to the Stuttgarter Hut. The easiest ones start in Zürs village or in Lech at the Rüfikopfbahn ropeway station. The walking time to the Alpine Club hut is about 2 hours. Another beautiful ascent to the Stuttgarter Hut is through the Krabach valley to the Krabachjoch mountain pass. The ascent starts at the bus stop “Bockbach” between Steeg and Warth and leads on a gravel road into Krabachtal valley. At the very end of the Krabach valley, the trail follows a footpath over all-terrain steps to the Stuttgarter Hut. The ascent takes about 4 to 5 hours. Further there are routes from Lech or Kaisers via the Erlachalpe hut and Erlijoch mountain pass. The Stuttgarter Hut is open during the summer from the beginning of July to the end of September.
