Bach - Bernhardseck - Mountain Hay Museum - Sonnalm
Today's hike took us from Bach to Bernhardseck and on to the Bergheumuseum. On a wonderful spring day in June we started in Bach im Lechtal and climbed over the hamlet Klapf to Bernhardseck. Afterwards we walked along the Alpenrosensteig to the Bergheumuseum am Lachenkopf. From there we descended via the Sonnalm or the Lechtaler Bergbahn to Benglerwald and returned along the Lechweg to Klapf or to Bach. Alternatively, you can take the mountain railway down to the valley. The region around the Bernhardseck and the Alpenrosensteig is known for the extremely beautiful landscape and the perfect view of the lower Lech valley. The Bergheumuseum am Lachenkopf gives interested parties an insight into the cultivation of the steep mountain slopes from past times. Refreshment stops are at the Bernhardseck Hut and the Sonnalm Mountain Inn. In the valley at the valley station of the Jöchelspitzbahn with the Lechtaler Hexenkessel is another popular refreshment stop. (Photos by Esther Kerber)
