Ansbacher Hut – Memminger Hut
The Ansbacher Hut is located at 2376 m below the Samspitze in the Lechtal Alps. From the Lechtal you can reach the refuge from Bach via the Madautal and the Alperschon valley. The Memminger Hut lies at 2242 m above the Parseier Valley on the E5 long-distance hiking trail with a slight gradient up to the 2484 m high Kopfscharte. We continue along scree fields to Winterjöchl between Rotspitze and Stierkopf. We continue over the Grießlscharte to Langkar and then to the end of the Parseier valley. Here, at 1723 m, you reach the lowest point of the connecting path and the difference in altitude to Memminger Hut is still about 500 m. At Memminger Hut, the E5 long-distance hiking trail meets the E4 long-distance hiking trail; a descent from Memminger Hut to Bach in the Lechtal is possible via the Madautal. A walk from Ansbacher to Memminger Hut takes about 5 to 6 hours. Stepping safety and alpine experience are indispensable. Some places have to be climbed over during the Gritscharte. Alpine experience, freedom from vertigo and surefootedness are absolutely necessary for an ascent! (also easy climbing)
