Bach - Madau - Parkplatz Memminger Hut
The tour destination of the "Parking Memminger Hut" lies 8 km southeast of the village centre of Bach im Lechtal in the Parseiertal in the middle of the Lechtal Alps. The MTB tour to Madau and on to the car park Memminger Hut starts at the centre of Bach. The starting point can be easily reached by car or by hiking bus. Bach is connected to the cycle path network of the Lechtal and therefore you can easily reach the starting point by mountain bike. From the centre of Bach we head south to the entrance of the Madautal. The asphalt road starts relatively steep, but the gradient decreases noticeably after about one kilometre. After this first section, the tour follows a slight gradient along the right side of the valley into the Madautal. The goods route is closed for general motor traffic, only the regular taxi and residents are allowed to pass through. After about an hour you reach the turnoff to the mountain village Madau. The alpine pasture settlement Madau, which already belongs to the municipality Zams, lies at an altitude of 1308 m above sea level and is only a few hundred meters away from this fork in the road. In Madau there is the possibility to stop at the mountain inn Hermine, which is open in summer from the end of May to the beginning of October. Wednesdays are closed at Berggasthaus Hermine until 17:00. From the Madau junction, where the asphalted goods road changes to a gravel road, it is just under 4 km to the Memminger Hut car park. The difference in altitude from Bach to the tour destination is 450 m and the distance covered is 10 km. Attention: regular taxi service!
