Botanischer Lehrpfad
The botanical nature trail lies at about 1800 m below the Jöchelspitze in the Allgäu Alps. The nature trail leads from the mountain station of the Lechtaler Bergbahnen to the nearby Lachenkopf. Along the botanical nature trail there is a unique alpine flora and fauna. Some rare alpine flowers, such as the blue monkshood, the broad-leaved orchid or arnica are very numerous in the area around the botanical nature trail. Signs refer to the respective Alpine flowers and a great deal of information is provided. The botanical nature trail is suitable for all age groups, and the nature trail is also suitable for children. The starting point can be reached by train or on foot. The Lechtal Active Card allows you to travel by train free of charge during the summer months. It is also possible to hike from the mountain station of the Lechtaler Bergbahnen along the botanical nature trail to the Lachenkopf and on to the alpine village Bernhardseck. This is not particularly difficult but quite far, so you should allow enough time. Especially for the descent or the way back from Bernahrdseck. After Bernhardseck you have the choice between 2 variants, the variant along the Alpenrosensteig or along the Lechtaler Panormaweg. Here you get an even more insight into the local flora and fauna. Along the Lechtal panorama path there are also some marmots, which are not too rare to see.
