Gufelsee
Lake Gufelsee lies at 2281 m in the Lechtal Alps between Parzinnspitze and Kogelseespitze. The mountain lake has a diameter of almost 200 m. The easiest way to reach Lake Gufelsee is from the mountain village of Gramais. From Gramais you walk along the Otterbach stream in the direction of Branntweinböden. At the Branntweinböden the path branches off towards the Hanauer Hut and immediately becomes quite steep. The path leads over the 2073 m high Gufeljöchl to the Gufelsee. In the surroundings of the Gufelsee there are still some mountain lakes worth seeing, like the Kogelsee or the Parzinnsee. The Gufelsee lies on the 3-lake circular trail that runs from Gramais via the Gufelsee, Parzinnsee and Kogelsee back to the starting point. The 3-lake circuit is time-consuming and in some places is secured with ropes. Climbing skills and surefootedness are absolute prerequisites for this tour (Photo: Willi Weissensteiner).
