Kaiserjochhaus – Frederic-Simms-hut
The Kaiserjochhaus is situated at 2310 m between the Grießkopf and the Bergleskopf near Kaisers. A descent or ascent to Kaisers via the Kaiseralpe and the Kaisertal into the Lechtal is also possible there. The Frederic-Simms-Hut is situated at 2002 m in the back Sulzltal near Stockach below the Holzgauer Wetterspitze. The path from the Kaiserjochhaus to the Simms-Hut first leads along the E4 long-distance hiking trail in the direction of the Ansbacher Hut. It goes in eastern direction, past the Malatschkopf over the 2371 m high Kridlonscharte. On the other side it goes above the Hintersee lake in the direction of Hinterseejöchl and then through the Klämmle to the Stierlahnzug. The Klämmle is a steep channel underneath the Vorderseespitze, which is secured in places with ropes. Sometimes quite demanding. Inexperienced riders should only follow this route with a mountain guide. The trail now continues below Feuerspitze via Kälberlahnzugjöchl (2585 m) to Simms-Hut. Near this route are some of the highest peaks of the Lechtal Alps, such as the Holzgauer Wetterspitze, the Feuerspitze or the Vorderseespitze. From the Simms-Hut, the other Alpine Club huts in the area can only be reached via a descent into the valley and an ascent through the Madautal. The walking time from the Kaiserjochhaus to the F. Simms-Hut is about 4 to 5 hours. Alpine experience, freedom from vertigo and surefootedness are absolutely necessary for an ascent! (also easy climbing)
