Kogelseespitze
Kogelseespitze is a 2647 m high peak in the Lechtal Alps. The mountain is located near the side valley community Gramais between the Kogel and the Parzinnspitze. The area around the Kogelseespitze is known for the numerous mountain lakes, for example the Gufelsee, the Kogelsee and the Parzinnsee. The ascent to Kogelseespitze is easiest from Gramais. Here you follow the Platzbach and hike further into the Kogelkartal. The path winds up the mountain in serpertinen. At almost 2200 m you reach the reflecting Kogelsee with the Kogel in the background. Continue over the Kogelseescharte to Parzinnsee and on to Gufelseejöchl. From here you reach the summit of Kogelseespitze along the southern ridge. The Kogelseespitze can also be reached from Gramais via the Otterbachtal and the Branntweinböden. From Boden you can reach Kogelseespitze via Angerletal and Hanauer Hut. The last stretch from Gufelseejöchl to the summit is the same for all variants. A mountain tour from Gramais to Kogelseespitze takes about 4.5 to 5 hours. The ascent to the summit is technically not particularly difficult, but sure-footedness, alpine experience and freedom from vertigo are absolute prerequisites. Due to its length, the tour to Kogelseespitze is only recommended for enduring mountaineers.
