Memminger Hut – Württemberger Haus
The Memminger Hut is located at 2242 m in Parseiertal near Bach. After Bach im Lechtal an ascent or descent is possible without any problems. A regular taxi runs several times a day during the summer season from the Memminger Hut car park to Bach. The connecting path to the Württemberger Haus starts quite flat along extensive mountain meadows past the lower Seewiesee. At the middle Seewiesee below the Edelrautenspitze the path branches off to Parseierspitze, but we take the path towards Seescharte. After passing the 2599 m high Seescharte, the scree slopes below the 2756 m high Kleinbergspitze must be crossed. The path now continues to the 2574 m high Großbergkopf and a little later to the 2657 m high Großbergspitze, which must be crossed. In this area, difficult or demanding and exposed passages are sometimes covered by rope insurance. The most difficult part is now done and it goes slightly downhill to the 2220 m high Württemberger Haus. A path leads from Württemberger Haus via Zammer Loch to Landeck. The Württemberger Haus can be reached from Bach via the Madautal and the Röttal (6 to 7 hours) and from Gramais (about 6 hours). The walking time from Memminger Hut to Württemberger Haus is about 5 hours. Alpine experience, freedom from vertigo and surefootedness are absolutely necessary for an ascent! Near the Württemberger Haus are two mountain lakes worth seeing, "Auf der Lacke" a little north at about 2300 m and the Bürschlsee in the southwest. (Photos: Willi Weissensteiner)
