Oberellenbogen lies below the Ellbognerspitze at about 1360 m height. The hamlet with its 3 houses belongs to the municipality of Steeg. The Oberellenbogen is an ideal destination for a walk or a short hike. The approx. 3 km long route from Steeg takes about 1.5 hours. The path runs along an asphalted road, but is relatively steep in places. On the way to Oberellenbogen you can stop on the plain at the snack station Drexel. Due to its special location on the northern side of the valley, between Steeg and Hinterellenbogen, Oberellenbogen has to offer a fantastic view. An alternative route leads from Steeg along forest paths to Oberellenbogen.
