Peischelspitze
Peischelspitze is a 2424 m high grass mountain in the Lechtal Alps. The ascent is relatively easy and is normally no problem for experienced and giddy climbers. The only drawback is that the path is partially overgrown and poorly visible. The tour starts next to a forest path leading from Holzgau to Dürnau. The forest path is equipped with some signs so that the entrance is easy to find. First you make your way to the so-called "disc", which by the way is very well visible from Holzgau. Once at the "Scheibe" you can enjoy a wonderful view of Holzgau and have a little rest. We continue uphill on a beautiful path that leads to the edge of the forest and then a little further up to a narrow but long plateau, which then continues to the foot of the mountain. With a little luck you can see some chamois on the plateau that have made themselves comfortable on the way up the very little climbed mountain. With quiet steps and camouflaged behind the mountain pines you can get relatively close to the animals to get beautiful photos. Arrived at the foot of the mountain it takes about half an hour to reach the summit over scree and relatively steep terrain. It offers a fantastic view over the Lechtal and the Lechtal Alps. Furthermore, the Allgäu Alps and the neighbouring mountains can be admired wonderfully. The Peischelspitze in the Lechtal Alps is a real insider tip for those who prefer to sit on a summit that is not climbed very much and offers a great view.
Although a descent into the Sulzl valley from above seems possible, one should not do this under any circumstances! (Risk of falling in impassable terrain)
