The Rappensee hut is located at 2091 m next to the small Rappensee lake in the Allgäu Alps. The Alpine Club hut can be reached most quickly from the Lechleiten valley. The ascent from Lechleiten to the hut takes 2 to 3 hours. From the Rappensee hut we head east to the Great Stone Embrasure and then to the Small Stone Embrasure. The famous Heilbronner Weg begins at the High Light junction near the small crag. The Heilbronner Weg is a high alpine path leading from the junction Hohes Licht to the Bockkarscharte. The Heilbronner Weg has a length of just over 3 km and the ascent of this section takes about 3 hours. Continue along the Heilbronner Weg, past the Heilbronner Thörle towards Kemptner Hut. The Kemptner hut is located at 1846 m near Oberstorf. From the Lechtal you can reach the Kemptner Hut from Holzgau via the Höhenbachtal. The Kemptner hut is located on the well-known E5 long-distance hiking trail from Brittany via the Alps to Verona. The walking time from the Rappensee hut to the Kemptner hut is about 6 to 7 hours. Alpine experience, freedom from vertigo and surefootedness are absolutely necessary for an ascent! (also easy climbing)
