Steinsee-hut – Hanauer Hut
From the Steinsee-Hut to the Hanauer Hut. The Steinsee-Hut lies at 2061 m below the Schneekarlespitz in the Lechtal Alps. The easiest way to get there from the Lechtal is via the route explained here. The connecting path to the Hanauer Hut starts quite flat along mountain meadows. We pass the Steinsee-Hut, the Steinsee. You should take the trail from this direction over the front Dremelscharte, because the descent on the other side is not so steep. For an ascent in the opposite direction, the rear Dremelscharte should be selected. The way over the back Dremelscharte is about an hour longer. The descent from the front Dremelscharte then runs right along a scree field. The hike to the Hanauer Hut at 1922 m takes 2 to 3 hours. Some parts of the ascent to the Dremelscharte are secured with ropes. In the surroundings of this connecting path are some impressive peaks, such as the 2733 m high Dremlespitze, the Große Schlenker or the Parzinnspitze. Alpine experience, freedom from vertigo and surefootedness are absolutely necessary for an ascent! (also easy climbing)
