Wannenspitze
The Wannenspitze is a 2362 m high peak in the Lechtal Alps. The mountain lies about 4 km south of Häselgehr between the Grießbachtal and the Gramaisertal. The Wannenspitze is known for its first-class views of the Allgäu Alps and the surrounding peaks. The ascent to the top of the Wannenspitze begins in Grießau at the Pestkapelle. There is also a small car park here. The starting point can also be easily reached by hiking bus (bus stop Grießau). From the Pestkapelle it goes in eastern direction along a goods road. After about 1.5 km of hiking along the gravel road, a narrow path branches off to the right. The path is well visible but partly quite steep. After another half hour you reach the 1465 m high Lachenkopf. The further course of the path follows a ridge up the mountain. At about 1800 m above sea level you reach the Muskogel and the Hochwald-Hut. Here we continue to the top of the bathtub, partly without a path. The first part in grassy terrain, later it becomes more and more rocky. Once at the summit, we recommend climbing the nearby Karles Peak, where we then have the opportunity to descend into the Grießbach Valley. However, this path is partly very overgrown and the correct course of the path is difficult to see. The ascent to the top of the tub takes about 3 hours. Climbing the top of the tub requires sure-footedness and alpine experience.
