Warther Horn
The Warther Horn is a 2256 m high peak in the Lechquellen Mountains near Warth am Arlberg. The mountain lies between the 2416 m high Karhorn and the village Warth am Arlberg. The tour to the Warther Horn starts at the valley station of the Steffisalp cable car. The starting point can be easily reached by hiking bus or by car. If you don't want to climb up to the top station of the Steffisalpbahn at 1884 m, you can also use the cable car. The use of the Lechtal-Card is free of charge during the summer months. Arrived at the top station, continue to the top station of the Wartherhorn cable car. From there one climbs onto a saddle between Karhorn and Warther Horn. Up to this point an experienced climber needs about 2 to 2.5 hours from Warth. For the last 60 metre from the saddle you need about 20 minutes. The summit offers a fabulous view of the surrounding mountains. The ascent to the Warther Horn can be classified as rather easy. For the ascent and descent from Warth to the top station Steffisalpbahn, one hour must be included in the calculation (from the top station of the cable car). It is also possible to ascend or descend from Unterkrumbach (Jägeralp-Express valley station). There is a refreshment stop at the Hochalp-Hut at an altitude of 1950 m between Hochalpbahn and Karhornbahn.
