Weg der Sinne
The path of the senses is a hiking trail in the surroundings of Bschlabs. The special feature of this path are the exhibited works of art made of wood, stone and stainless steel. The works are designed by local artists and partly provided with appropriate sayings and poems. The path of the senses begins below the pilgrimage church "Maria Schnee" in Bschlabs. On a path, follow the signs "Weg der Sinne" down to the Streinbach. This is crossed over an old suspension pedestrian bridge. On the other side of the valley you reach the place of silence after a short ascent. As the name suggests, it is a place in the acoustic zero zone. Due to frequency overlays, the absolute silence is interrupted at most by noises in the immediate vicinity. At this point the path of the senses ends. It is recommended to walk the short distance to the Hölltalschlucht gorge and then to take the way back via the Bschlaber Höhenweg or to continue hiking to Boden. In order to have enough time for viewing the works of art, depending on your choice of route, you should expect 2.5 hours (to the ground) or 3.5 hours (Bschlaber Höhenweg to Bschlabs).
